On the Death of Whitney Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012)

Whitney Houston passed away.
Another talent cast away,
One more unnecessary death,
Another song is out of breath.

I'll never be fourteen again.
But I'll remember Whitney when
She laughed and called to dance with her...
Her life was wrecked. She's dead. What for?

  1. Nicely put! I am very saddened by Houston's death. I've loved her music since I was a child, and I find it hard to believe that she's truly gone.

Here's a link to a dance number performed by one of my favorite departed actors to a song sung by one of my favorite departed singers. How I love to watch this over and over again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y0TWOttkVo

  2. Many thanks for you comment, Amira! And many thanks for the video link. Very-very impressive! To move like that with his physique... Apparently his mother was a dancer and a choreographer. Nature + nurture, no doubt.
